After suddenly becoming famous and often building a tremendous million-dollar empire, some stars decide even more suddenly for their fans to leave the spotlight and chase other interests. Whether their retirement from being a full-time celebrity is temporary or permanent, these once-famous people are now having far more “normal” routines with day jobs in the private sector.

Erik Estrada is a former actor and activist, who now works as a police reserve deputy in Idaho. Estrada’s most famous role was Officer Frank Poncherello (AKA “Ponch”) in the drama about police called CHiPs on NBC (owned by Comcast).
Erik starred in the show from 1977 till 1983. Then he worked on Spanish reality series, telenovelas, infomercials, as well as voice-acting on Adult Swim. In 2009 he became a deputy sheriff in Virginia. Later, in 2016, he moved to Idaho and became a reserve police officer. The most interesting thing is, that just like his character on CHiPs, he is a motorcycle officer.

In the 80-s, Tiffany was a teen singing icon famous for her songs “I Think We’re Alone Now” and “I Saw Him Standing There,” (it’s a cover of a Beatles’ song). Her singles reached the highest positions on the Billboard charts. One of them was famously used in one ad for Apple.
Tiffany hasn’t stopped singing, but her main focus today is being a small business owner, she has a clothing store. Plus, Tiffany tours small venues (like coffee shops and festivals), and often uses her fame to promote her clothing business.

Prinze Jr. is still connected with show business, but he is not an actor anymore, now he’s a producer for World Wrestling Entertainment Inc.
He started to work for the WWE in 2008. He used to blog about his observations from the matches and produce content for the WWE’s social media pages, and now he’s a producer there. He and his wife live in Los Angeles with their two kids.

Charlie Korsmo was a child actor who became famous after the comedy produced by Disney called “What About Bob?” He then continued his career in the academic field, but he still has sometimes starred in movies. Last time he appeared in the film called “Can’t Hardly Wait” in 1998 where he played William Lichter.
Korsmo attended a law school. He also got an MIT undergraduate degree in physics in 2000 and J.D. from Yale Law School in 2006. He has since worked for the EPA and in politics. Now he is a law professor at Case Western Reserve.

Geena Davis used to be an actress and model. Her first movie was “Tootsie”, where she acted in 1982. Then she starred in a thriller “The Fly”, which turned out to be her breakthrough, while the role in “Beetlejuice” made her popular all over the world. She proceeded to be an actress, but her career started to slow down in the 90s. There also was a short-lived Disney talk show called “The Geena Davis Show”.
Davis then changed her career, she turned to directing and started her own business. Her organization, The Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, helps to increase the presence of women in the sphere of media. In 2018 she financed a documentary called “This Changes Everything”.
