Have you seen Robert Pattinson as the new Batman yet? Check out the “deep fake” video at the DeepCaked YouTube Channel. As well as it’s made, it hardly gives us any idea of Pattinson’s character, rather what the costume would look like. It’s still going to be a while before we actually see him on-screen, so the deep fake is the best we have got so far.

DeepCaked took a scene from Batman Begins and replaced Christian Bale with Robert Pattinson, giving us a rough idea what the new Bruce Wayne would look like portrayed by Pattinson.

Of course, there is no way a transformation like that could have been made perfectly, so naturally the result came out a little creepy. However, if you look at it you still see Robert Pattinson more than Christian Bale in the scene in which Bruce Wayne gets to see his first set of gadgets introduced to him by Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman).

The deep fake may still provide a good enough image of what Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne would look like; however, it lacks any character representation whatsoever, which would be ridiculous to expect from a video like that. I am pretty sure the new movie will differentiate Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne without trying to mimic any of Christian Bale’s character.

It only leaves room for the imagination to picture what Robert Pattinson would be like in action in his cape and cowl. There is no technically available way to portray another person accurately in a deep fake video. After all, it’s merely covering one person’s face with a mask and throwing on some deep voice imitation, it doesn’t really work that way.

We still have to wait over a year before the new Batman gets released and there sure will be a lot of excitement around the new movie. Alongside Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman, the movie stars Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as Riddler, and Colin Farrell as Penguin.

Recently Matt Reeves has revealed a hint about the new character’s detective elements, which have been faded to a large extent in previous movies.

It is very likely Warner Bros will keep our excitement at a high level by throwing in teases like the one with the batsuit. There is so much more about this new version that we are trying to gauge that deep fakes just aren’t capable of providing.
