When it is hard to remove the image of an actor from a specific character they used to play, you can’t help but wonder what if they returned to the role and brought the character to life once again? The results of such experiments are mixed. People did not really enjoy the return of Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones. However, many praised the excellent send-off for Logan as Hugh Jackman portrayed a new version of the character.
Now, fans of Harry Potter can start imagining what the heroes of now-classic movies would look like years after the conclusion of the saga involving Voldemort. The famous franchise ended with a bang in 2011 concluding a 7-film journey in an epic showdown between the protagonist and his archnemesis. The universe has been expanding ever since with two Fantastic Beasts films also making buckets of money recently.
3 more movies are apparently in production with many more ideas being thrown around. It seems that the franchise cannot fail its producers while irregularly disappointing fans. The wheels of the mill keep spinning.
In comes Radcliffe
Recently, rumors started spreading that the actor may appear in the franchise once again thanks to some magic in the Fantastic Beasts series. However, the actor told Variety that he is not interested in playing the character again… at least, for now. He mentioned that he is really enjoying his current freedom and flexibility. A commitment to a chain of franchise films is simply not something that he is interested in at the time.
He also said that he may return to the world of magic and fantastic beasts at some point in the future. The actor has been very active recently and worked with both prominent filmmakers creating big films and small-time independent directors. His portfolio consists of great roles that were praised by critics and fans alike.
Despite not expressing an interest in returning to the Harry Potter franchise immediately, he definitely left the door open.
