While it is great to have a united universe that neatly ties together all various elements of the Avengers, we have to remember that the movies not only exist in a separate dimension but also diverge wildly from in terms of tone from the comics they are based on. On the other hand, a true diehard Marvel fan will immediately point out that there is an infinite number of universes.

One of such universes is the one where Thanos never snapped his fingers encapsulated in the infinity gauntlet. Disneyland allows you to explore this particular universe.

The times are not appropriate to talk about the future of Disneyland. The Walt Disney Company is currently struggling to cope with the ongoing coronavirus threat. Amidst the pandemic that forced many non-essential businesses to shut down, Disney is seemingly hit the hardest as all its main sources of revenue are indefinitely closed.

However, we still can talk about the wonders that we will see when the dust settles down and the quarantines are lifted. The Avengers Campus in California is one of the most interesting places to visit if you consider yourself an MCU fan. What can you expect?

First of all, in this universe, the snap did not happen or has not happened yet. The entrance to the Campus is in the Avengers Headquarters building that allows you to get into the piece of the attraction inspired by Wakanda. A huge food stall right next to it will feature foods from the experimental kitchen operated by Hank Pim. Here, you can taste foods of all shapes and sizes!

Many fans were very excited to hear that Tom Holland’s voice is a huge part of the Spiderman Adventure. The ride will feature a bunch of flying bots from the latest Spiderman movie as well as many cool cameos.

What is really cool is that you will be able to see Tony Stark in his new suit. In this universe, Thanos never snapped and our beloved hero did not have to sacrifice himself. Let’s be honest, while the Endgame was a perfect send-off of a character that had carried the whole franchise for 10 or so years, we all already miss the witty and nonchalant superhero in a suit of flying armor!

Another interesting bit of information about this attraction in California is that the reason why the snap was excluded from the local canon is quite relevant to what is happening right now outside. Dan Fields is the executive creative director for the Avengers Canon and explained why the decision was made. He said that the very idea of having an apocalyptic threat looming above the audience is not something that he wanted in his attraction. He added that the Campus exists in a world where heroes did not have to die in order to save us all.

It is quite understandable that the attraction makes a decision like this one. People want to see all their favorite heroes together. The films certainly made sense from the storytelling perspective. However, we have to admit that not seeing Iron Man or Loki when exploring the Avengers Campus is certainly something saddening for a lot of fans. Also, children! Disney loves to cater to children meaning that it will try to avoid removing their favorite heroes from the roster as hard as possible.

The sad part about all of this is that the attraction was supposed to welcome its first guests on July 18. The current pandemic will undeniably affect these plans negatively. It is almost certain that it will be postponed. First of all, the last finishing touches cannot be done since workers have to be quarantined. Secondly, people may not be interested in visiting crowded places for quite a while after the pandemic goes away. Thirdly, it seems that the US government has plans to prolong the stay-at-home orders till June.

Hopefully, we will be able to see the Campus anyways.
